ADAM p-33 or DYNAUDIO BM15A ?
have a look at the ADAM S3A's as well, that's what we're using (although i must admit the p22's sometimes are a little more pleasing to work on, a little less sterile. it's not always about honest and natural, speakers need to be fun to work on)
the S3A's killed the p33's when we were auditioning them. yeah they're really expensive, but it's an investment worth considering if you plan to be doing music for a long time.
we've never used a sub, and the few occasions i have used a sub i preferred switching it off. i have to add that these weren't really good subs, and they were in shit rooms. the S3A has plenty of bass if you ask me... but the guy at the store advised us to get a sub unit later, and he seemed to know his shit, so...
if you're going to be doing purely dnb/other loud dance music, i think you should have a look at the p22's, i really love their sound, they're a pleasure to work on:
the s3a's are a little bit too cold and clinincal sometimes, the bass is completely clear... no false wind... which is good but false wind adds a lot of vibe to your tune... i sometimes miss the feeling of turning it up loud and being blown away, the S3A's sound completely clean at high volume!
also you need a fairly large room for the S3A's they're midfield, if you're gonna have your speakers close to you, i'd say p22 too. i think the same goes for BM15s, in a small room you might be better off with BM6s, but i have never really understould the difference between nearfield and midfield...
if someone would care to explain clearly... i dont need any hypotheses and suggestions i have enough of those myself, but if someone got the facts come wid it!
ADAm's are too delicate for pop and hip hop D&B music
there better suited for country, classical ...that is what they are made for
i disagree. i think the adams rock. we've been using the p22's for years, they inspired us to improve loads, because we could hear detail we couldnt hear before (especially in the delicate dynamics department)
we've never had any trouble with them being too delicate, have you ever had any trouble with them?
(we don't usually work at high volume, we just test it loud now and then)
i love the dynaudio's as well.

In the Studio With Noisia
We’re currently giving the S3A a go again. We used to use the P-22′s mostly before we re-did the studio a few weeks ago. We love the ADAM sound, the ribbon tweater gives such a detailed sound. Very good to work on fast transients. We might go back to the P-22′s. They’re not as precise, but they sound more like loud speakers when you turn up the volume, which is not desirable for mixes, but it is more enjoyable when you’re making a tune that sounds really fat coming from the speakers. When it sounds fat on a P22-A it will still sound good everywhere.
