Note: On Windows Vista, the SONAR 6.2 maintenance update can only be applied to SONAR 6.0, and not to SONAR 6.0.1. If you are running SONAR 6.0.1 on Windows Vista, please uninstall and re-install SONAR 6.0 before you apply the SONAR 6.2 patch.
When upgrading from SONAR 6.0 or 6.0.1 to SONAR 6.2, your application files will be moved to C:\Documents and Setting\All Users (XP) or C:\ProgramData (Vista) application data folders. At first launch of SONAR 6.2, files will be copied to the user application data folder, and sample content will be copied to C:\My Documents\Cakewalk\SONAR.
Migrating Missing Files to SONAR 6.2
If you are updating a previous version of SONAR 6 to version 6.2, holding down the Shift key while you launch SONAR 6.2 from the Start menu will force SONAR to search for any missing files and copy missing files to the correct location. This process can take a few minutes.
For example, if you did not install template files (.CWT) during the SONAR 6.0.x install, and then apply the SONAR 6.2 patch, the missing template (.CWT) files will not be copied to C:\Documents and Setting\All Users (XP) or C:\ProgramData (Vista). Here are the steps that are required to properly migrate new files after the SONAR 6.2 patch has been applied:
1.Insert your SONAR 6.0 DVD
2.Choose the files you wish to install
3.Install the 6.2 patch again; this copies the new files to C:\Documents and Setting\All Users (XP) or C:\ProgramData (Vista).
4.Hold down the Shift key while you launch SONAR 6.2 from the Start menu; this copies the new files to the correct user application data folder
В опчем, из текста вроде бы понятно, что под ХР апдейтится с обеих версий, а под Висту вапче нужно 6.01 сносить, ставить 6.0 и апдейтить до 6.2.
