The tube is most definitely in the circuit in the Tone Garage pedals. The tube does not glow due to the HT (high) voltage, it’s the heater that glows, and on a 12AX7 it's pretty dim, so to make the pedals look cool we have back lit them. We use special circuitry to multiply the 9V from the batteries up to 200V. It’s totally new technology from Vox and very innovative. We hope you’ll check them out and try them for yourself!
