The new versions of Samplitude and Sequoia utilize CodeMeter’s new USB hardware, the CM-Stick. MAGIX demanded a software protection system that would provide the highest level of security while at the same time having flexibility in implementation of different product distribution models.
CodeMeter’s design resists hacking with the most highly advanced technologies for the protection of executables. Strong algorithms such as the symmetric encryption AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) with 128 Bit key and the asymmetric encryption ECC (Elliptic Curve Cryptography) with 224 Bit key provide tough security against hacking.
Furthermore, the CodeMeter chip has been designed with proprietary internal hardware protection mechanisms against attacks to the hardware, similar to the security found in SmartCards.
