All I/O boxes of the Hammerfall DSP System contain a hardware mixer in TotalMix technology. Any input and output can be routed and mixed to any output. Limited only by the available outputs of the I/O-box, up to 14 independent submixes are available. Internally, the mixer works with 40 bit wordlength. For level alterations there are 65536 steps that allow for a virtually continuous change between 6 dB gain and maximum attenuation. In unity gain setting, the mixer is even bit-transparent and can pass the input signal unaltered. The Digiface processes 1456 channels in real-time, which corresponds to the computing power of a Motorola DSP at 100 MHz.
TotalMix not only leads to perfect and complete ASIO direct monitoring, but is also useful without ASIO. Thanks to a proprietary mixer surface, submix and Zero Latency Monitoring can be used with all audio applications. An external mixer thus becomes unnecessary in many cases.

И чего? обычная шняга чтобы делать всякие роутинги - этот канал сюда, этот сюда... такие микшера есть сейчас во всех картах... Не сводить же через него... там же нет для сведения автоматизации, посылов и инсертов...

Awsxedc как сводить без инсертов, ауксов и автоматизации? 
И вообще если б можно было бы организовать посыл-возврат на внешнюю обработку - тогда да... а так нафига это всё?

Хыхыы, по-моему все через это проходят, когда у них появляется карта со своим собственным микшером. Типа: "круто звучит! Лучше чем кубейс!!" Да вот только, к сожалению, разницы нет между всеми этими микшерами...
Карточка действительно бьёт всяких там филей / егосисов по качеству оцифровки и удобству.. Цена, конечно, выше (за 2 in 2 out уже к 500 уям подползает), но того стоит.
У рме лучший аппаратный микшер. Этим карты сразу и прославились, особенно всеми любимая 8-каналка HDSP/Multuface.

А если серьезнее - ИМХО субъективно это все(как работавший и на РМЕ и на "всяких там" заявляю)mode "MEGA-EXPERT" OFF
Сорри, но по-моему тема чревата флеймом. Производители выпускают железки, народ их пользует. На этом форуме, если не ошибаюсь - многие до сих пор на СБЛеве работают, и ничего
Если карта за 500(800? 1000?) и выше реально помогает в творчестве и бизнесе - таки отлично!
