:frown:

:biglaugh:

"SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" V0.3 [BETA]

"SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" is a tool I wrote for myself because of the lack of any kind of automated audio export function within SX. For example, if you have an SX project with say, 30 audio tracks and 5 vsti tracks, if you wanted to bounce each of these tracks down to a wav/mp3/etc you'd have to solo each track and wait for it to finish exporting before moving onto the next track. Exporting 35 seven minute audio tracks is likely to take a few hours which wouldn't be so bad if SX could be left to get on with the job.

Therefore "SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" is designed to automate the dreary process of solo'ing, doing the necessary mouse/keyboard clicks/keypresses and waiting for each track to finish exporting before repeating and starting again from the next track until the desired number of tracks have been successfully exported.

Please visit http://www.dogsonacid.com/search.php if you need help. Try searching for the name of this program, "SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" - their should be a couple of threads where you can post questions, find out useful information and make suggestions for further improvement.

Requirements
============

Steinberg Cubase SX2 - installed and running properly. This tool hasn't been tested on SX1 or SX3 but should theoretically work okay. It's almost certain that "SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" WON'T work with Steinberg's Nuendo.

Preperation before using - VERY IMPORTANT!
==========================================

"SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" is, like many other Windows Scripts, pretty stupid. It doesn't recognise obvious mistakes or user errors so it's very important that you set a few things up before running it.

"SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" starts from the currently selected track and procedes DOWN, solo'ing and exporting EVERY track until the desired number of tracks have been exported. This means that "SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" WILL intentionally (by design) try and export muted midi tracks, unused group channels and even attempt to export folder tracks and ANYTHING else that gets in its way which is obviously undesirable!

In other words, if you run this tool without the proper preperation it's VERY likely that it will export many things you don't want it to. Here's a checklist of things you must do before running "SX Unattended Audio Export Tool":

1. Open your project within Cubase SX.

2. Save it as a new project filename (for safety/backup purposes).

3. Select, remove & delete ANY muted or unused audio, midi, fx, folder, marker, group, etc tracks you don't want exported - any tracks remaining are likely to be included in the export process!

4. Set up the project as if you were doing a normal manual audio export (set loop locators etc).

5. Actually perform a manual audio export. It doesn't matter what you export but it's VERY important that you set the audio export options as you want them. This means setting mono/stereo, mp3/wav, bitrate, file location, etc. This is because "SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" uses the audio export options you LAST used. Simply making the necessary audio option choices you want is NOT enough - you actually need to procede with the audio export so that your choices 'stick'.

6. Once you're satisfied that everything is as you want it you can select the first track you want to start exporting from and you're ready to go. Please do NOT solo this track as
"SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" will do this for you. Solo'ing the track will cause "SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" to actually un'solo it and then export your entire project into one audio file!

Running "SX Unattended Audio Export Tool"
=========================================

Once all the preperation is done and you've successfully manually exported one audio track (as stipulated at point 5 in the checklist) you can minimise Cubase SX and double click the "SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" icon. "SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" will now do a quick check to ensure that SX is running. If it is, 2 windows will popup in succession, briefly reminding you (in summary) of the preperation you MUST do before running this tool.

"SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" will then ask you how many audio tracks you'd like to export. This number is used by "SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" to determine how many times the tool presses the DOWN arrow key after each audio export. NB - Pressing the DOWN arrow key is a quick way to select different audio tracks within SX.

"SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" will next ask you what filename you want to use. FYI - Each track that "SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" exports will use this filename followed by a number on the end. This number corresonds to the number of audio tracks you chose to export.

Lastly a popup message will give you a final warning to continue or not. Pressing YES will cause "SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" to start the unattended audio export process. Pressing NO or Cancel at any stage BEFORE the process begins will stop "SX Unattended Audio Export Tool".

Uninstallation
==============

"SX Unattended Audio Export Tool" doesn't make any changes to your registry or windows folder and therefore doesn't need to be uninstalled. It temporarily copies some files to the program files folder and deletes them after it finishes running.

Вот будет у тебя в проекте треков 20-30, сыгранных звуками EWQL SymphOrchestra PE, виснущих при попытке просто это все сыграть, не замьючивая половины - тогда поймешь!
